A 29-year-old mother was charged with neglect of a dependent and criminal recklessness after she left her baby girl alone in a cold vehicle as she was inside a bar.

According to Police Chief Harold Smith when the mother Tiffany Helbling spent time inside the bar, her 1-year-old daughter was alone in the car sleeping in a soaked diaper with no food or bottle inside the car in 25 degree of temperature at the time.

The baby girl was released to her father after being checked by medical staff.

The mother was arrested in O's Tap in Knox, IN. She claimed that she left her daughter alone for only 20 minutes while bar patrons told police she stayed inside between 90 minutes to two hours.
